2-Change directory to CDROM1 and run the setup script

->cdIC610_lnx86.Base

->./SETUP.SH

#When asked for installation directory , write /home/USER_NAME/IC610

#When asked for a location of Iscape , choose /mnt/IC610_lnx86.Base/CDROM1

->cd/home/USER_NAME/IC610/share/oaInstallers

Replace each “USER_NAME” with youruser name, and every “COMPUTER_NAME” with your computer name. The computer nameis shown on the terminal, when you open the terminal you will find somethingsimilar to the following:

where “user” is the user nameand “user-HP-620” is the computer name.

Open the license file and edit thefirst few lines:

DAEMON cdslmd/home/USER_NAME/IC610/tools/bin/cdslmd

savethe file as “license.dat” then copy it to /home/USER_NAME/IC610/share/license

->./configure

Enterthe top installation directory <q to quit>
[/home/USER_NAME/IC61] -> #just press enter
Edit the license file or thestartup script now? <y/n/q> [y] -> #enter
Override the defaults?<y/n/q> [n] -> #enter
Configure license filelicense.dat? <y/n/q> [y] -> #enter
Configuring license.dat...

7-Convert .cdb libraries to oa (you can use this website as an example)

8- The following command must bedone each time you restart the computer:(Don't run as root)

->./lmgrd-c /home/USER_NAME/IC610/share/license/license.dat

You can make it an alias in your.bashrc file to be easier:

aliaslmli='/home/eslam/IC6.1/tools/bin/lmgrd -c /home/eslam/IC6.1/share/license/license.dat'

The abovealias allows you to just type “lmli” in the terminal instead of (./lmgrd -c/home/…..)

Now toopen Cadence type the following in the terminal:

Thenswitch to root and type:

->virtuoso

9- If you get the following error
